Three weeks. There are a minimum of two loan periods per term. |

Please order well in advance by telephone (01482) 613947. |

Any written requests should be addressed to School Loans Department, Hull City Museums, Monument Buildings, Ferens Art Gallery, Queen Victoria Square, Hull. HUl 3RA. |
|
|
Orders are processed on a first come, first served basis and will be accepted up to one year in advance. A maximum of twenty loan units per school is allowed for each loan period. |
|
|
Each individual catalogue number constitutes one loan unit. |
|
|
Please give alternative numbers and dates if possible. |
|
Delivery |
Please check loans before signing delivery note. |
|
|
Sheets detailing delivery and collection dates will be sent to each school annually. Further copies are available from the School Loans Department. |
|
|
By arrangement, teachers may collect certain loan units in person in advance of the delivery date. The museum van will call at the school for this material on the normal return date. |
|
Viewing Security and Care of Objects |
Teachers are invited to visit the department to view the material available for loan. Please telephone to make an appointment - tel. (01482) 613947. |
|
|
The borrower is responsible for the care of material whilst on loan. Please take sensible security measures. |
|
|
Loan units should not be left unattended in school entrance halls upon delivery or prior to collection. |
|
|
Please report any damage or loss immediately by telephone to the department (01482) 613947. |
|
|
Loss due to theft must also be reported immediately to the police and a crime data sheet obtained. Please see 'Liability' below. |
|
|
Please avoid displaying objects in direct sunlight. |
|
|
Please do not affix adhesives labels, sellotape, blue tack, etc. to loans or loan cases. |
|
|
Please do not attempt to repair damaged objects. |
|
Liability |
In the event of serious damage or total loss, a claim will be made on the museum's insurance policy. This policy carries an excess. This amount will be charged to the school. |
|
|
Schools will be charged the full cost of repair or replacement in the event of minor breakages or losses which are not covered by the museum's insurance policy. An additional charge may be added to cover administration costs. |
|
Return |
Please check the contents of each box carefully and return all loan material to a secure central point (e.g. the secretary's office) on or before the collection date. |
|
|
Extensions to the normal loan period cannot be granted due to the popularity of many of the items. |
|
